1. What is the neighborhood like around The Cameron?
The Cameron is located in Portland’s Arts District, a vibrant,
central neighborhood near Downtown Portland known for its arts,
dining, and entertainment scene. Residents have easy access to top
attractions like the Portland Art Museum, Living Room Theaters, Old
Church Concert Hall, and the Portland Farmers Market at Portland
State University.
The area is also home to popular restaurants like Jake’s
Famous Crawfish, Tasty n Alder, and Brunch Box, making it a great
spot for food lovers. With multiple TRIMET transit options and a
highly connected location, it’s ideal for convenient city living
and a quick commute.
2. What will you do to prepare my apartment before I move
in?
Prior to move-in, each apartment undergoes a full maintenance
inspection, and any necessary repairs are completed to ensure the
unit is in excellent condition.
In addition, every apartment is professionally cleaned,
including carpet cleaning, to provide a fresh and move-in-ready
home for our residents.
3. Do you have on-site maintenance?
Our community offers onsite maintenance that responds to
service requests quickly and professionally. The team handles
routine repairs, conducts regular inspections, and completes
preventative maintenance to help maintain a high standard.
Residents can request repairs by calling the office, emailing,
or submitting a work order through the resident portal.
4. What happens if I am locked out?
If you’re locked out after business hours, please contact a
locksmith. After the lock is changed, provide the office with a
copy of the new key so we can update our records and ensure
maintenance access if needed.
5. Is parking available?
Street parking is available, with additional parking options
in nearby lots and garages. Availability and pricing for off-site
parking may vary.
6. Is your community pet friendly?
The Cameron is a pet-friendly community, allowing up to 2 pets
per apartment with a monthly pet rent.
7. What appliances are standard?
Each apartment home includes a refrigerator, range,
dishwasher, garbage disposal, and a full-size washer and dryer for
everyday convenience.
8. What are the hours of the Fitness Center?
Our fitness facility is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week,
allowing residents the flexibility to work out whenever it is most
convenient for their schedule.
9. How long does it take for an application to be
approved?
Applications are typically processed within 3 business days.
Processing times may vary based on individual screening factors,
but our team works to complete each application as efficiently as
possible and will provide updates throughout the process.
10. What are my options for paying my rent?
Residents have flexible rent payment options through the
online resident portal, including ACH, credit card, and debit card.
Payments can be set up as automatic monthly payments or submitted
manually. For added convenience, rent can also be paid by check at
the leasing office.
11. If I have a package delivered, will you hold it at the
leasing office?
No, packages are delivered directly to your apartment door and
are not held at the leasing office.
12. Is there public transportation within close proximity of
the community?
Yes, The Cameron offers excellent access to public
transportation, with multiple Portland Streetcar stops located
nearby, including SW 11th & Clay. Residents also have convenient
access to TRIMET transit lines, commuter rail options, and Amtrak
at Portland Union Station, all within a short distance. Portland
International Airport is approximately 14 miles away, making travel
easy. This central location supports convenient access to Downtown
Portland, shopping, parks, and major destinations.
13. Which school district are you in?
The Cameron is located in the Portland Public School District,
with Chapman Elementary (K–5), West Sylvan Middle School (6–8), and
Lincoln High School (9–12) as assigned schools. School assignments
are subject to change, so please verify with Portland Public
Schools for the most current information.
